DESIGN DRIVEN AESTHETICS–

EST

1982

Eons ago as a toddler, many things were unknown to me:

The purpose of life and how to achieve success.
Why those tall people referred to as 'adults' were so stressed.
Who Abbott and Costello were and why their jokes were bounced at me with such vigor...

all in all, my young day-to-day creative urges would lead me to a life driven by nostalgic joy and the surrealist analogy that is the motif of life.

Asking 'what do you do?' has dated itself. as an artist, everything i do is a performance-within-a-performance. even years as a barista in college were not just serving jobs, they were life imitating art happenings, over a steaming hot stimulus. As they fueled i fueled.

Now deeply integrated in the world of aesthetics, I find myself fortunate enough to work in fields that most people can only exercise via rainy day hobbies. my career in graphic design, art direction, curating and marketing have led me down a path of child-like happiness.

TIMELESS IN NATURE IS THE INTEGRATION OF WEALTH THAT COMES FROM HUMBLING WABI-SABI.

In the habitually inspiring words of the great John Clesse:

"humor is an essential part of spontaneity, an essential part of playfulness, an essential part of the creativity that we need to solve problems, no matter how 'serious' they may be."
